Princess Cruises, Booked by Travel Consultants Who Know the Fleet

Princess Cruises is the classic cruise: relaxed days, elegant evenings and itineraries built around where you are going. The newest Sphere-class ships, Sun Princess and Star Princess, add modern design, while The Sanctuary and Movies Under the Stars keep the pace unhurried. We match you to the right ship, stateroom and fare, and plan the details before you sail, at the same price you would pay booking direct.

What Princess feels like

A Princess cruise moves at an easy pace. Days belong to the destination, and evenings to a good dinner, live music in the Piazza and perhaps a dance. Enrichment lectures, cooking demonstrations and quiet corners with a sea view set the tone, rather than a packed schedule.

It is the classic cruise many of us pictured growing up: Princess ships starred in The Love Boat on ABC. Princess is part of Carnival Corporation.

What our clients tell us

Clients describe Princess as relaxed and understated, a calm, restful setting rather than a go-go-go schedule. Longer off-peak sailings tend to draw a more mature crowd, while the newest ships and destinations bring in a mix of ages.

The nightlife is classic and low-key: live music, a dance floor and dessert to finish. You won’t find Avello, our family friend who plays EDC and the big festival stages, spinning records here. This isn’t an EDM crowd.

Where you are going matters more than how you get there, and clients rate the shore excursions highly, with a lean toward local culture, history and food.

On board, the food is classic and high quality: dependable dining where you get what you expect, without paying a premium for it.

The ships: Sphere class and Royal class

Sphere class is Princess’s newest: Sun Princess, which debuted in 2024, and Star Princess, in 2025, each carrying about 4,300 guests. Both are built around open sightlines and natural light, with the Piazza at the heart of the ship and The Dome, a glass-topped space whose pool becomes a stage at night.

The six Royal-class ships, from Royal Princess to Discovery Princess, are the backbone of the fleet. On every ship, the Princess Medallion, a small wearable, handles boarding, your stateroom door and onboard purchases, so the technology stays in the background.

Movies Under the Stars and The Sanctuary

After dark, a giant screen on the pool deck shows films for Movies Under the Stars, with deck loungers, blankets and popcorn.

The Sanctuary is aptly named: an adults-only retreat on the top deck with padded loungers, light bites and stewards on hand, away from the pool-deck crowds. On most ships it carries a small extra fee. On Sun Princess and Star Princess it becomes the Sanctuary Club, reserved for guests booked in Sanctuary Collection staterooms and suites.

Why your stateroom choice matters

Book online or call the cruise line and you get whatever stateroom the system offers. We look at where it sits on the ship, away from late-night venues and busy corridors, with less motion, and close to what matters to you. On the Sphere-class ships, that includes whether a Sanctuary Collection stateroom is worth it for your trip.

Dining: classic and dependable

Princess dining is classic and well executed: main dining rooms with traditional or flexible seating, an international buffet, and the International Café in the Piazza for coffee and pastries. Specialty restaurants, such as Crown Grill for steak and seafood and Sabatini’s for Italian, carry an added charge on the ships that have them.

Sailing from Central Florida

Princess sails from Port Canaveral, about an hour from Orlando, and from Fort Lauderdale. Sky Princess began six- and eight-day Caribbean cruises from Port Canaveral in November 2025, and Caribbean Princess sails from there as well. For the 2027–28 winter season, Star Princess has her first Port Canaveral season, and Miami becomes a Princess homeport too. Many Caribbean sailings now call at Celebration Key on Grand Bahama, with Star Princess making the line’s first call there on November 1, 2026.

Every Princess cruise we book includes Shore Secrets, our port guide with offline maps for each stop.

Princess questions we hear

What is The Sanctuary on a Princess cruise?

The Sanctuary is an adults-only retreat on the top deck with padded loungers, light bites and stewards on hand. On most ships it carries a small extra fee. On Sun Princess and Star Princess it becomes the Sanctuary Club, reserved for guests in Sanctuary Collection staterooms and suites.

What is Movies Under the Stars?

It is Princess’s outdoor cinema: films shown after dark on a giant screen on the pool deck, with deck loungers, blankets and popcorn. It is included in your fare.

What is the newest Princess ship?

Star Princess, which debuted in 2025. She and Sun Princess, which debuted in 2024, make up the Sphere class, the newest and largest ships in the fleet.

Does Princess sail from Port Canaveral?

Yes. Sky Princess began six- and eight-day Caribbean cruises from Port Canaveral, about an hour from Orlando, in November 2025, and Star Princess has her first Port Canaveral season in 2027–28. Princess also sails from Fort Lauderdale.

Is Princess Premier worth it?

It depends on how you travel. If you plan to enjoy drinks, specialty dining and Wi-Fi each day, Premier often costs less than paying for each separately. We price your sailing with Princess Plus, with Princess Premier and with neither, so you can decide.

Does it cost more to book Princess through a travel consultant?

No. You pay the same fare as booking direct with Princess Cruises. Through us you also get a stateroom chosen for how you travel, planning before you sail, and Shore Secrets port guides for every stop.
